Terms and Conditions – The H1 Club

1. Overview
The H1 Club is an online educational membership platform providing Leaving Certificate English resources. These include written notes, study guides, ebooks, live and recorded sessions, webinars, and related digital materials.
By purchasing or accessing a H1 Club membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Membership Duration
All H1 Club memberships operate on a school-year basis only.
Memberships purchased for the 2025/2026 academic year will automatically expire on 30 June 2026, regardless of the date of purchase.
Access ends at 23:59 on 30 June 2026.
Memberships do not roll over beyond this date.
Future academic years may operate under different terms.
3. Access to the Platform
Membership grants access to H1 Club content during the active membership period only.
Access is provided digitally and requires an internet connection.
Memberships are for individual use only.
Sharing login details, distributing content, or allowing third-party access is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination without refund.
4. Content Availability and Updates
Content is added, updated, modified, or removed on an ongoing basis.
Not all content is available at all times.
Live sessions, webinars, or events may be scheduled, rescheduled, recorded, or cancelled at our discretion.
There is no guarantee that specific topics, features, or materials will be available at any particular time.
Membership provides access to the platform as it exists and evolves during the membership period.
5. Educational Disclaimer
The H1 Club provides educational guidance and support only.
No guarantees are made regarding exam results, grades, or academic performance.
Outcomes depend on individual effort, engagement, and factors outside our control.
6. Under 18s and Parental Responsibility
The H1 Club is intended for Leaving Certificate students, many of whom are under 18 years of age.
Where the member is under 18, the membership must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian, or with their full knowledge and consent.
By completing a purchase, the parent or guardian confirms that:
- They authorise the purchase
- They accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the student
- They accept responsibility for payments, access, and appropriate use of the platform
The H1 Club does not knowingly enter contracts directly with minors.
7. Payments and Billing
All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
By purchasing a membership, you authorise Stripe to charge the full advertised amount at checkout.
This is a fixed-term digital membership, not a rolling subscription.
There are no recurring charges beyond the stated membership term unless explicitly stated for future offerings.
Access logs and content activity may be recorded for security, billing, and dispute resolution purposes.
8. Refunds, Cancellations, and Consumer Rights
All payments are non-refundable, except where a refund is required under Irish or EU consumer law.
This is a fixed-term digital membership providing immediate access to online educational content.
Once access to the platform or any digital materials has been provided, the service is considered to have commenced.
Where a user chooses to cancel after access has begun, no refund will be issued for any unused portion of the membership.
A change of mind, lack of usage, dissatisfaction with content style, or expectations of specific materials does not constitute grounds for a refund once access has been granted.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights where they apply.
9. Digital Content and Right to Cancel
The H1 Club supplies digital content that is made available immediately upon purchase.
By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- Access to digital content and platform resources begins immediately after payment
- The service is delivered digitally and does not involve physical goods
- Once access to the platform or downloadable materials is provided, the right to cancel is lost in accordance with EU consumer law for digital content supplied immediately with consent
For this reason, refunds are not available once access has been granted, except where required by law.
Stripe disputes or chargebacks may result in immediate suspension of access while the dispute is under review.
10. Fair Use and Conduct
Members must not:
- Share, copy, reproduce, or resell H1 Club content
- Upload or distribute materials outside the platform
- Screen-record, download, or reproduce paid content for external use
Any breach may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
11. Platform Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Modify platform structure, layout, features, or delivery methods
- Move content between live, recorded, or written formats
- Discontinue features where necessary
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
12. Account Suspension or Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated without notice where:
- These Terms are breached
- Fraudulent or abusive behaviour is detected
- Platform integrity or other members are affected
13. Limitation of Liability
The H1 Club is not liable for platform downtime, technical interruptions, third-party service failures, or indirect losses arising from use of the service.
14. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.
